Privacy Policy
Last Updated: September 2026
This policy explains what personal information ReidyDone collects, why we collect it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the rights you have over it. It applies to clients, Service Professionals and Teams. Our Terms & Conditions cover the rest of the relationship.
1. Who We Are & Who To Contact
ReidyDone operates a marketplace that connects clients with independent Service Professionals and Teams in Quebec. We are responsible for the personal information described in this policy.
The person in charge of the protection of personal information at ReidyDone is our Privacy Officer, who can be reached at support@reidydone.com. Any question, access request, correction request or complaint about your personal information goes to that address.
2. What We Collect
A. If you book a service (clients)
Your name, email address, phone number and the address where the service takes place. We convert that address into map coordinates so we can match you with nearby Professionals, and we store the postal code and province because they determine the tax applied to your booking. We also keep your booking history, any photos you attach to a booking, any messages you send through the platform, and records of promotions or referral codes you use.
We do not store your full payment card details. Payments are handled by Stripe and PayPal, who hold that information directly.
B. If you apply as a Professional or a Team
Your legal name, business name where applicable, email address, phone number, service area and the categories of work you offer. Depending on the work you apply for, we also collect:
- Your Quebec enterprise number (NEQ), where you operate as a business.
- Proof of liability insurance, including the certificate document itself and its expiry date.
- For regulated construction trades: your RBQ licence number, its expiry date and the subcategories it covers, along with the licence document. Where the trade requires it, your CMEQ or CMMTQ membership number, and optionally your CNESST number.
- Any other verification documents you choose to upload.
- The result of an identity check carried out by Stripe Identity, which compares a government ID you provide to a live photo. Stripe performs that check and tells us whether it passed — we do not receive or store the ID image itself.
- Banking details for payouts, collected and held by Stripe Connect. We store only Stripe's account reference, not your account numbers.
Once you are active we also hold your job history, earnings history, ratings and reviews, and a record of which version of our terms and waivers you accepted and when.
C. Everyone
Basic technical information from your device and browser, and — if you use the assistant on our site — the messages you send it. Please do not type sensitive personal details into the assistant; see section 4.
3. Why We Collect It
We use personal information only for these purposes:
- To create and operate your account.
- To match bookings to Professionals who serve your area and offer the work requested.
- To take payment and to pay Professionals.
- To verify that a Professional or Team can lawfully perform the work we dispatch to them — including confirming an RBQ licence against the Régie du bâtiment du Québec public register, and confirming insurance is in force.
- To handle support requests, complaints, damage reports and refunds.
- To meet our legal obligations, including tax reporting.
- To protect the safety of clients, Professionals and the platform.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use your information for advertising by third parties.
4. Automated Processing & Human Decisions
Verification documents. To review an application faster and more accurately, we may use automated tools — including services provided by Google — to read documents you upload and pull out details such as licence numbers, policy numbers, coverage amounts and expiry dates, and to flag where those details disagree with what was typed into the form.
A person decides. These tools do not approve, reject or rank anyone. Every decision about an application, a badge, a trade licence or the status of an account is made by a member of our team who reviews the underlying documents themselves. No decision about your account is made exclusively by automated processing.
You can ask us what was read from your documents, ask us to correct it, and give us your own account of anything you think we have misread. Write to support@reidydone.com.
Dispatch and visibility. Separately, automated systems help decide which jobs are shown to which Professionals, using service area, service categories, availability, account status and rating. A Professional who believes this is operating unfairly can contact us and a person will look at it.
The assistant. Messages you send to the assistant on our website are processed by Google's Gemini service to generate a reply. Please do not include sensitive personal information in those messages.
6. Information Held Outside Quebec
The service providers listed in section 5 operate infrastructure outside Quebec, including in the United States. This means personal information we collect in Quebec is stored or processed outside the province, and may be subject to the laws of the country where it is held, including lawful access by authorities there.
Before entrusting personal information to a provider outside Quebec we assess whether it will receive adequate protection, taking into account the sensitivity of the information, the purpose it is used for, the protections the provider has in place and the legal framework that applies to them, and we put a written agreement in place with that provider.
7. How Long We Keep It
We keep personal information for as long as your account is open, and afterwards only for as long as we have a reason to: to complete a transaction, to resolve a dispute or claim, to keep records we are legally required to keep (financial and tax records in particular), or to enforce our terms.
Verification documents — insurance certificates, licence documents and similar — are kept while the credential they support is relied upon, and for a period afterwards so we can show why a Professional was approved to do a particular job. When information is no longer needed for any of these purposes, it is destroyed or anonymized.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct information that is inaccurate, incomplete or ambiguous.
- Withdraw your consent to a use that depends on it, understanding that some uses are necessary to provide the service and withdrawing consent may mean we can no longer operate your account.
- Receive a copy of the computerized personal information you gave us, in a structured, commonly used technological format, or ask us to send it to another organization.
- Ask us to delete personal information, or to stop disseminating it, where the law allows.
- Ask about automated processing that affects you, as described in section 4.
- Complain to us, and to the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec if you are not satisfied with how we handled it.
Send any request to support@reidydone.com. We respond within 30 days. If we refuse a request, we will tell you why, and tell you how to seek a review.
Some information cannot be deleted on request: records we are required by law to retain, such as financial and tax records of completed transactions, and information we need to defend a legal claim. Where that applies we will tell you what was kept and why.
9. How We Protect It
Access to personal information inside ReidyDone is limited to the people who need it for the purposes in section 3 — administrative staff reviewing applications and handling support. Verification documents are held in storage that cannot be read by other users of the platform. Payment and banking details are held by Stripe and PayPal rather than by us.
11. Children
ReidyDone is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Changes To This Policy
We may update this policy. When a change materially affects how we use personal information we already hold, we will tell affected users directly rather than only updating this page, and where the law requires it we will ask for consent again.
